【摘要】:Thisdocumentspecifiesrequirementsforchemicalandphysicalproperties,andminimumperformancerequirementsofIowexpansionfoamssuitableforsurfaceapplicationtowater-miscibleliquids.Requirementsarealsogivenformarking.IMPORTANT--Inthispartofthedocument,thefireperformanceistestedusingacetoneandisopropanolasthefuel,whichalsoformsthebasisfortheperformanceclassification.However,therearealargenumberofwater-miscibleliquids,whichhavemoreorlessdifferentpropertiestoacetoneandisopropanol.Ithasbeenshownbytestsusingotherfuelsthattheperformanceofvariousfoamscandifferconsiderably.ExamplesofsuchfuelisMethylEthylKetone(MEK).Itisthereforeessentialthattheuserchecksforanyunfavourableorunacceptablelossofefficiencywhenthefoamisusedagainstfiresinanyotherwater-misciblefuelsthanacetoneandisopropanolresepectively.ThefiretestconditionsandproceduregiveninJ.2canbeusedinordertoachieveresultscomparativewithacetoneandisopropanolresepectivelyandrelatedrequirements.Itisalsoessentialfortheusertonote,thatotherfueldepthsandmethodsofapplicationthanthosespecifiedin1.2,cancauseconsiderablelossofefficiencyandthesemattersshouldbecarefullyconsideredbytheuserwhenassessingthesuitabilityforparticularapplications.NOTESomeconcentratesconformingtothispartofEN1568canalsoconformstootherpartsandthereforecanalsobesuitableforapplicationasmediumand/orhighexpansionfoams.
